This Privacy Policy explains how MistpearlStudio handles personal information when you browse this website, submit an enquiry, request a bridal or bespoke consultation, or contact the studio. We aim to handle information in a transparent and proportionate way consistent with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its information privacy principles.

2. Information we may collect

We may collect information that you choose to provide, including your name, email address, telephone number, preferred appointment date, wedding date, jewellery preferences, budget range, design notes and the content of messages. Basic technical information may also be supplied automatically by your browser or hosting provider, such as browser type, device type, approximate region, pages requested and security logs. We do not intentionally request sensitive identity documents, payment card details or government identifiers through the website forms.

3. How information is collected

Information may be collected when you complete a form, open the prepared email generated by a form, contact us directly, request an appointment, or interact with necessary website functionality. The current static forms open your email application and do not transmit form contents to a MistpearlStudio server by themselves. Information is received only when you send the prepared email.

4. Purposes of use

We may use personal information to respond to enquiries, arrange consultations, discuss jewellery availability or design requirements, prepare estimates, coordinate delivery or collection, provide care guidance, maintain business records, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations. We do not use personal information for unrelated purposes without a lawful basis or your permission.

5. Legal grounds and fair collection

We collect information where it is necessary to answer a request, take steps requested before a possible order, perform an agreement, comply with law, protect legitimate business and security interests, or act with consent. We seek only information reasonably necessary for the stated purpose and expect users to provide accurate information about themselves.

The website may use strictly necessary browser storage for functions such as menu state, accessibility preferences or cookie choices. No analytics, advertising or payment service is currently declared in the website code. If optional analytics or marketing technology is introduced later, this policy and the Cookie Policy should be updated before that technology is enabled.

Personal information may be shared only where reasonably necessary with providers that support email, website hosting, secure storage, professional advice, delivery or fraud prevention. Providers should receive only the information needed for their role and be expected to protect it. Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to reduce unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No internet or email system is completely secure. 10. International processing

Some hosting, email or cloud providers may process information outside New Zealand. Where cross-border processing occurs, we will seek appropriate contractual, technical or legal safeguards and limit disclosure to what is necessary for the service.

11. Children and young people

This website is intended for a general audience and is not designed to collect information directly from children. A parent or guardian should make enquiries on behalf of a minor where appropriate. If we learn that information was provided by a child without suitable involvement, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
